Kairos Arts Initial Training Course

The initial training is designed for individuals interested in becoming Kairos group practitioners.

Throughout the course, we delve into the history of Kairos, the foundational theories of our work, and explore Sue Jennings' EPR theory. This is an experiential course where participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a group workshop, experiencing both the role of a member and that of a practitioner.

The training occurs once a week from 19:00-21:30 over 8 sessions during the Winter term, with an additional Saturday dedicated to Trauma Informed Practice.

Upon completion of the course, there will be a final interview process. During this interview, we discuss whether becoming a practitioner aligns with your aspirations and goals and if it aligns with Kairos. There are no homework assignments for this course; your commitment to attending the sessions is all that's required.

Who is eligible? Anyone eager to find out more about the Kairos culture and embark on a personal journey of self-discovery, while honing the skills to become a group workshop facilitator.

Where? In person at Kairos Arts, 22 Vauxhall Street, St Helier, Jersey JE2 4TL

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Kairos Arts offer comprehensive CPD (Continuing Professional Development) opportunities, designed to empower professionals within schools and other organisations by introducing therapeutic arts to their skill set or enhance existing knowledge in this area.
